Baltic Leadership Programme for Future Decision Makers 2015 in Warsaw

From 23-26 November 2015, the second Baltic Leadership Programme for Future Decision makers took place in Warsaw, with around 30 Civil Protection professionals from the 11 CBSS member states. After a great kick-off with Helena Lindberg, Director General of the Swedish Contingencies Agency, Ambassador Michal Czyz, representing the Polish Presidency, Åsa Lundmark from the Swedish Institute and Ryszard Dabrowa, Rector Commandant of the Main School of Fire Service, the four days were filled with workshops, exercises and scenario group work for the participants.

A particular emphasis this year was put on the use of social media during crisis, leadership challenges and solutions, as well as the comparison of exercises.

The flagship for high level actors runs its second year, strengthening the civil protection network. Many of our PA Secure flagships were represented and discussed as best practices.

The Baltic Leadership Programme in PA Secure is financed by theSwedish Institute, and organised and developed in partnership with MSB, CRISMART and the CBSS, the latter in their capacity as Priority Area Coordinators for PA Secure. This year’s module was hosted by The Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw.
