Policy Area Secure is governed by a Steering Group which was founded in 2013, and consists of members from all eight EU countries in the Baltic Sea Region, along with the Union of the Baltic Cities – Safe Cities Commission,  the CBSS’ expert group Task Force against Trafficking in Human Beings (TF-THB) and the Children at Risk unit at the CBSS Secretariat. The Steering Group meets twice a year to discuss priorities and strategic actions in the fields of civil protection and law enforcement.

Joint Position on Enhancing Cooperation in Civil Protection Area

“A Joint Position on Enhancing Cooperation in Civil Protection Area is a guiding instrument assisting the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Member States in their joint efforts to further strengthen cooperation in the civil security in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR). We, Directors General for Civil Protection in the countries of the Baltic Sea Region welcome recommendations on further enhancement of cooperation in the civil security and invite all agencies participating in the CBSS Civil Protection Network (CPN), and the EUSBSR PA Secure (hereinafter – Cooperation Networks) as well as in other regional cooperation constellations, to work together to accomplish following priorities: Click here to download the full text of the Joint Position
