On 1 June 2022 the Policy Area Secure Steering Group met physically for the first time since 2019. The meeting, hosted by the Norwegian DSB in Oslo included participants from eight Member States in the region. The members expressed the need to go deeper into certain civil security issues in the next Steering Group meetings in order to maximise the impact of the international cooperation. Youth, volunteers, crisis communication were named as potential themes. Exchange of experts and study visits were mentioned as the way forward.

Back-to-back with the Steering Group meeting BALTinnoSEC workshop was conducted with the focus on the reports produced by the Polish partners: an analysis of existing cooperation forums, projects and platforms as well as market analysis of solution providers for societal security. These documents will help the partners in organising the BALTinnoSEC Pilot Forum in Warsaw.
