What is PA Secure?

Policy Area Secure is one of the 14 policy areas of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR). PA Secure is co-coordinated by the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) Secretariat and the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency (MCF). PA Secure, the Policy Area Secure of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR), provides a platform for cross-border, cross-sectoral, and multi-level cooperation to enhance societal security. It facilitates better coordination of activities focused on prevention and preparedness for both natural and man-made threats, as well as the development of methods to respond to security risks posed by climate change. PA Secure assists in aligning national priorities with EU and global strategies, action plans, and funding opportunities. Additionally, PA Secure helps in initiating and running projects.
