EUSBSR PA Secure Steering Group gathered for its 9th meeting in Stockholm on 8 May 2018. The Policy Area coordinators, MSB Adviser Julia Fredriksson and CBSS Senior Adviser Janusz Gąciarz informed the participants about the latest updates on the strategic actions and presented the PA Secure report to the European Commission’s DG REGIO on the achievements 2016-2018.
The participants were also briefed about the progress within the FIRE-IN and STAC-CBRNE projects as well as the upcoming preparations for the exercise demonstration organised in cooperation with the EUSBSR PA Safe within the EUSBSR Annual Forum on 5 June 2018. The coordinators informed the Steering Group about the wide support, expressed by all the countries for the CBRNE stakeholder forum concept, presented to the 17th meeting of Directors General for Civil Protection in BSR. The coordinators encouraged the participants to join the Associated Experts community in the FIRE-IN project, and to register their participation at the Annual Forum.
The Steering Group discussed the priorities for the period 2018-2020 and a possibility to improve the work of PA Secure by organising a stakeholder engagement workshop for the members of the Steering Group.
