New report in the NEEDS project: Societal Security as Higher Education in the Baltic Sea Region

The ‘Needs-based education and studies in Societal Security’ (NEEDS) project addresses the skills gap and mismatch between higher education and the knowledge needs in this field, as well as the fact that there is a lack of structured transnational cooperation and dialogue between higher education institutions, practitioners, and experts in tackling these issues.

This report “Societal Security as Higher Education: The State of the Art in the Baltic Sea Region” is authored by Christer Pursiainen and Dina Abdel-Fattah from UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

This is the first, in a series of, reports that examines existing study programmes in the field of Societal Security and an analysis of the concrete curricula used in the degree programmes in the field of Societal Security in the Baltic Sea region.

The project is co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership (project code 2020-1-SE01-KA203-078013) and runs from September 2020 through August 2023.
