As 2024 comes to a close, we at the PA Secure team (coordinated jointly by the CBSS Secretariat and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, MSB) want to take a moment to reflect on the past year. Together, we have contributed to strengthening civil security in the Baltic Sea Region.
Have we made a difference? Have we used our limited financial and human resources wisely to foster new connections, share knowledge, and launch cross-border initiatives? Have we supported the EU and global agendas?
Our answer is a heartfelt yes!
We have supported UNDRR and EU Civil Protection Mechanism agendas. We have focused on the needs of our region, with the help of our active and fully engaged Steering Group. This year, societal resilience took centre stage, and we aligned our efforts with a whole-of-government, whole-of-society, all-hazards approach.
