On November 12th 2024, 30 crisis communication experts from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and Sweden met in Tallinn to exchange knowledge and experiences on crisis and risk communication. The event was organised within the project Joint Crisis Communication in the BSR, aimed to strengthen cooperation and understanding between countries to improve public communication in emergencies.
Participants discussed different national crisis communication systems, shared best practices, and explored ways to work together in cross-border situations. The meeting is an important step to building a BSR crisis communication network, ensuring experts know each other and can collaborate effectively when needed.
The project, led by PA Secure co-cordinator MSB, is funded by the Council of the Baltic Sea States Project Support Facility (CBSS PSF) and will continue with further meetings, workshops, and an exchange programme to deepen cooperation in the region.
