Finnish presidency of the PA Secure welcomed the Steering Group members to their 21st meeting in Helsinki on 13 – 14 May 2024. Highlights of the agenda included a presentation from Morgan Olofsson, Director of Communications at Swedish MSB, who advocated for establishing a Crisis Communication Network in the Baltic Sea Region and a proposal from Estonian delegation to establish a working group for fire safety experts. Both ideas were welcomed by the Members. A proposal from Hamburg Fire and Rescue Service to include The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) as a Member of the Steering Group was also discussed and BBK was welcomed to the Policy Area.
